FROM THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO’S CATALOG

The front (obverse) of this coin depicts the head of Salus, goddess of health and welfare, laureate and facing to the right. On the back (reverse), the goddess of health and hygiene, Valetudo, stands looking to the left, leaning on a column and feeding a serpent from her right hand.
