The front (obverse) of this coin portrays the emperor Severus Alexander, facing right and wearing a crown of laurels. On the back (reverse) Providentia, the goddess of foresight, stands facing left with a cornucopia tucked into her left arm, while her right hand drops ears of corn into a bushel.
