FROM THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO’S CATALOG

Royal Flemish was, like most art glass, intended for cabinet display. Modeled after Near Eastern or Moorish forms, this vase is embellished with matte color planes outlined in gold and punctuated with dazzling decorative schemes.
