FROM THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO’S CATALOG

Roussel created two variant emblems for the blank cartouche at top center—this cluster of silhouetted flowers resembling anemones, in black, and a salamander before a rising sun, rendered in colors that include metallic pigment.
