FROM THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO’S CATALOG
Text printed on reverse of stereocard: VIEW FROM "BRIDGE OF SIGNS" Shows a part of Shelby's Dome overhanging the terrible pit. It is wild and dreary beyond conception. The dark avenue to the right is inaccessible to human footsteps, that is supposed to lead a vast distance further into the bowels of the earth.
