FROM THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO’S CATALOG

In addition to fine cashmere wool shawls, other materials were used to create shawls and stoles inspired by the elegant Kashmir shawl. Here, ethereal Indian muslin is embroidered with roses that sway like their Kashmir buta (paisley) counterparts.
