Part of a set of nine color prints that debuted in 1899, this impression retains remnants of registration marks along the edges that were used to ink and print the plate successively with different colors. When trimmed and offered for sale, A Window Seen through a Window was placed on a light-blue-and-gold mount and surrounded by a frame in gray, green, rose, and gold.
