FROM THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO’S CATALOG

This imposing handcolored metalcut print was produced from two plates, including a similar but not identical outer border plate of visionary clouds and stars as The Man of Sorrows with Four Angels . It is therefore not the Crucifixion found bound into the same missal, but bears many similarities to it.
